When getting your vehicle repaired at a dealership, you know the mechanics are using Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts. But what about your local repair shop? Chances are the parts your mechanic is using came from a Chapman Arizona dealer.

More than 8,000 metro Phoenix repair facilities depend on Chapman Automotive Group for their parts needs, says Paul Wines, Wholesale Parts Marketing Specialist. This partnership ensures customers are getting the parts they need for repairs, as well as helps local shops keep up-to-date on technical issues. It also generates more than $35 million in revenue for the local economy.

“Our parts sales staff and marketing representatives keep the repair facilities informed with the latest information from the manufactures and provide training and technical assistance as needed,” Wines explained. “Our professional, knowledgeable staff has access to a vast inventory of parts, and with 50 delivery vehicles, we provide prompt service when parts are requested.”

Some local repair facilities use aftermarket parts to fix vehicles, saving customers money in the short-term. But aftermarket parts usually do not come with a warranty, and their quality varies greatly. Wines says using genuine OEM parts makes a difference, based on the following criteria:

  • They are designed and engineered by the manufacturer for each specific model
  • Safety and reliability are designed into each part
  • Exact fit and finish for each part
  • Each replacement parts comes with a limited nationwide warranty honored by the manufactures dealer network
  • Genuine OEM parts help to maintain the quality and value of the vehicle

“Customers can request genuine replacement parts when they have their vehicle repairs done, especially if they are paying for it,” Wines says. “The only exception could be if an extended warranty company or insurance company is paying a claim.”

In addition to general car repair shops, the Chapman Wholesale Parts Division services collision repair facilities, private and government fleets and specialty shops using parts for non-street-type vehicles. Parts are ordered in a variety of ways, including via fax/email, online subscription programs, by telephone through the wholesale parts specialist at each Chapman dealership, and in-person at the parts department sales counter.
