Archive for August, 2012

This Labor Day weekend take a break from the BBQ and pool and head to any Chapman dealership in Arizona for huge savings during the Labor Day Sales Event. The sale begins August 29th and runs through September 3rd and includes a vast selection of 15 different brands and over 4,500 new and used vehicles. Most dealerships are offering massive price markdowns and unrivaled lease offers. Every customer is sure to find the perfect vehicle at a great price.

“This Labor Day Sales Event will be the most exciting and aggressive event that Chapman Auto Group has ever put together and it includes a huge range of vehicles. Savings include as much as $12,000 off MSRP on selected trucks and luxury models along with financing that starts as low as zero percent,” said Corporate General Manager Eddie Espinoza.

With deals on cars, trucks, and SUVs customers are sure to discover the ideal vehicle to fit their lifestyle. For example, if shoppers are looking for an SUV, they can find great choices like a 2012 Outlander Sport ES for only $16,495 or have the option of 0% APR financing. Or a 2012 Ford Escape XLT for only $239 per month for a 36 month lease. Trucks also get significant price drops. For example, a 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 Tradesman will be over $6,000 off MSRP and a new 2012 Ford Super Duty F-250 is over $4,000 off MSRP. These markdowns challenge any competitor that offers cars for sale in Arizona.

The Labor Day Sales Event includes lease specials that start as low as $119 per month. In addition, many dealerships are offering low monthly purchase payments. A 2013 Hyundai Sonata Limited, with leather and fully loaded with upgrades including a sunroof and a 90-day satellite radio subscription, is only $199 per month for a 48 month lease. A 2012 Chevrolet Malibu LS is on sale for $18,517 or $160 per month for a 60 month loan.

These deals aren’t limited to just new cars either; a huge range of used cars for sale with CarFAX history reports are included in the Labor Day Weekend Sales Event. For example, a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500, with only one previous owner, is nearly $2,000 off retail at $8,991. A certified pre-owned 2011 Hyundai Sonata is on sale for $4,000 off retail at $20,995. Plus, Chapman dealerships are offering up to 120% of Kelley Blue Book Trade-In Value on most trade-ins.

Americans haven’t shown too much interest in diesel cars in the past, yet with the economy still low, and gas prices rising faster and faster, diesel cars are getting a lot more attention. A diesel’s increased miles per gallon means that it usually comes out ahead on overall savings, thus the new surge in consumer interest. The good news is that many of the world’s manufacturers are now making great diesel products. Nonetheless, there are some excellent diesel alternative cars for sale in America right now. Whether consumers are looking for new or used cars Phoenix dealerships may have the diesels consumers are now looking for. Here is a specific look at two brands, Audi and Mercedes-Benz:

Audi Diesels

Audi has recently become a marketing leader in regards to diesels, even though they only offer a small amount of products in the show room. Recent Superbowl ads, dominance in sports car racing with diesel-engined winners, and several global awards have put Audi TDI Clean Diesel Technology in the forefront of many shoppers minds. The A3 TDI and Q7 TDI are two models their currently offering with diesel options. Fuel economy will likely remain unchanged as Audi has not indicated the current TDI engine will be replaced by a vastly different unit. MSRP of the 2011 A3 TDI is $30,250, and a slight increase in price is likely for the 2012 model. Fuel economy is the A3’s strong suit, and it’s doubtful that the 30 city/42 highway MPG figures will decrease at all. The Q7 is a full-size luxury SUV. The engine up front is bigger, while performance is similar. Fuel economy however drops considerably from the A3.

Mercedes Benz Diesels

Mercedes Benz has offered a diesel engine in their domestic lineup for decades. Thankfully, the 2012 Mercedes lineup doesn’t show that changing. The core of their diesel family is the 3.0L V6 BlueTEC engine. This sophisticated powerplant manages to earn its “clean diesel” name from use of AdBlue, an additive that helps reduce NOx emissions. What might stretch that tank of AdBlue out double or triple the distance is the rumored 2013 introduction of Mercedes’ first diesel hybrid: the E300 BlueTEC Hybrid. Mercedes-Benz also has the E350 BlueTec diesel which has class-leading dynamics, design and refined engineering the E has been a critical car in the Mercedes Benz lineup. Redesigned in 2011, the 2012 E Class remains unchanged. The ML350 BlueTEC diesel SUV is also an option from Mercedes-Benz. For $410 less than E350, buyers can choose the ML BlueTEC SUV. For tradeoffs in economy (figures drop to 18/25 MPG) owners get to enjoy all-wheel-drive, a cavernous trunk and a high seating position. The GL350 BlueTEC diesel is a different SUV option. Trading a bit of car-like athleticism for massive presence might not be to every buyer’s liking, but seating for seven and a 7500-lb tow capacity might prove to be the hot ticket for buyers willing to part with the $61,000 base MSRP. Fuel economy is class-leading, at 17/21 MPG.  Finally Mercedes-Benz has the R350 BlueTEC diesel crossover wagon. With seating for 6 or 7, 18/24 MPG and All Wheel Drive, the underrated R350 might be the sweet spot in the Mercedes diesel lineup for buyers who put a premium on

Six of the ten Hottest Convertibles of the Year, as decided by Forbes, are available at your Chapman auto dealers. Any of these new and incredible convertibles would blow away a used car Phoenix driver!

The number one car on the list is the 2012 Porsche Boxster S. In a perfect world every car enthusiast would have a new Porsche Boxster S sitting in his garage, if only for an early Sunday-morning thrash along a favorite back road. It might lack for ultimate straight-line speed but it is a far more compelling car on many different levels.

Number two comes in with the 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL550, which is said to be on the throttle, the new car feels as powerful and insistent as the SL63 AMG.  As a result, we expect the new SL to match the SL63’s 4.0-second 0-to-60 time. Virtually all its torque is lurking at 1800 rpm. Even fully loaded with new safety and comfort features, the SL550 doesn’t feel weighed down. It just glides. Another Mercedes-Benz makes the list with the 2012 SLS AMG Roadster. An AMG executive claims the SLS AMG Roadster runs deep in the 7 minute, 40 second range around the chassis-battering Nürburging—a lap time on par with the fastest of production supercars.

Next the 2012 Audi R8 GT Spyder comes in at 6th. The R8 GT is the best choice in regards to engines out of any Audi, generating 560 horsepower from a tuned version of the same V-10, with less weight, a more focused setup, and better overall handling.

Number nine on the list is the 2013 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Convertible. The 2013 Mustang GT Convertible is fun to drive and be seen in, and it is such an all-around performance car that it’s hard to resist its allure. Consumers certainly aren’t going to find many other performance cars with the unique history of the Mustang, and that certainly counts for something. Today’s Mustang GT is looking back at the Mustang of their youth and seeing it reincarnated, for the better.

Finally the honorary number ten spot goes to the BMW i8 Concept Spyder. The BMW i8 Concept Spyder is powered by the same plug-in hybrid system found on the coupe version: a 131 HP electric motor on the front axle with a 223 HP turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine on the rear wheels. With a total of 354 HP, the new concept will sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 5 seconds and can hit a top speed of 155 mph. While running on electric only, the car has an autonomy of 19 miles, while the petrol engine delivers an impressive fuel economy of 94 mpg.
